With five published books in the last eight years, Mackie has written extensively on a number of key fitness issues. He tackled abdominal obesity in Lose Your Love Handles (Perigee, 2001), created a winning stress- and lifestyle-management program in Maximum Energy for Life (John Wiley & Sons, 2003), wrote the bible on weight reduction in The Fat-Burning Bible (John Wiley & Sons, 2005), and showed readers how to pack on lean muscle through sports nutrition and high-performance exercise in Lean and Hard (John Wiley & Sons, 2007). Now, in his latest crusade, Mackie focuses his three decades of health and fitness expertise on providing solutions to the health crisis of our children.
